DESCRIPTION
The process flow for a 4-liter canning line can be described as
follows:
1. Can Preparation: Empty cans are loaded onto a conveyor system,
which transports them to the filling station.
2. Filling: The cans are filled with the desired product, such as
beverages or food items. This can be done using a volumetric or
weight-based filling system.
3. Lid Placement: After filling, lids or ends are automatically
placed on the cans. This can be done using a lid placement
mechanism that accurately positions the lids on top of the cans.
4. Seaming: The cans move to the seaming station, where a can
sealing machine applies pressure and heat to create a hermetic seal
between the lid and the can. The seaming machine typically consists
of rollers or dies that press the lid onto the can while a heat
source activates the sealing compound.
5. Inspection: The sealed cans undergo a quality inspection process
to ensure proper sealing, absence of leaks, and correct lid

defects or abnormalities in the cans.
6. Cleaning and Drying: The cans may pass through a cleaning and
drying station to remove any contaminants or moisture that could
affect product quality.
7. Labeling: The labeled cans are transported to a labeling station
where labels with product information, branding, and regulatory
details are applied to the cans. This can be done using automated
labeling machines.
8. Coding and Dating: If required, the cans may undergo coding or
dating, where specific information such as batch numbers,
expiration dates, or barcodes are printed on the cans.
9. Packaging: The fully processed and labeled cans are organized
into packaging units, such as trays or cartons, for storage or
transportation.
10. Palletizing: The packaged cans may be palletized, where they
are stacked on pallets in a specific configuration for efficient
storage and transportation.
